The Meaning of Home: A Perpetual State of Displacement

With deep respect and unwavering solidarity, we welcome 10 art and design students from Birzeit University in Palestine, along with 4 of their professors, during our annual GRADUATION TOUR.

Since October 2025, Sint Lucas Antwerpen has been collaborating on the project 'The Meaning of Home: A Perpetual State of Displacement', which also brought together students and faculty from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, the School for New Dance Development, and If I Can't Dance, I Don't Want To Be Part of Your Revolution in Amsterdam.

Against the backdrop of the ongoing attacks on Palestinian identity, its origins, its presence, and its future, we reflected throughout this series of online gatherings on what it means to be connected to a place. What is the meaning of home when people are forced to rebuild it time and again after each displacement?

On Thursday, June 18, the students of Birzeit University will take the stage to share their practices with us.

Join us in supporting their work, listening to their stories, and standing in solidarity with the collective struggle for dignity, freedom, and justice.
