Housed in the former Salle de Ventes par Notaires (1882), a Neoclassical auction house in the city centre of Mechelen, TACK TICK is TICK TACK's first permanent extension outside Antwerp, and makes TICK TACK the first non-profit art institution in Belgium to operate two separate, permanent locations in two cities. Rather than consolidating around a single address, TICK TACK tests what a contemporary art institution can be when it operates as a network of shared spaces across cities. It continues a hybrid way of working outside the traditional models, built on collaboration, shared infrastructure, shared audiences and shared ambition.
