18h-21h Antwerp Art Weekend is officially open! All venues and exhibitions can be visited.

19h It all starts at the academy and so does the Antwerp Art Weekend of 2019. Although all venues will be opening from 18h-21h, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts will be this years host for the actual opening. You’ll be able to get some food and drinks from 19h on, see performances, exhibitions and experience an after party with the academy’s teachers behind the DJ booth.

18h-22h Official launch AAIR: Studio Start and AIR Antwerpen proudly present AAIR: a new artist-oriented organization that grants time, space and mobility to national and international artists. AAIR wishes to create a sustainable context for artistic development.

19h Lecture at Het Bos: Charlotte Koopman.

19h Artist talk and film release by Antwan Horfee at M HKA

From 21h at De Studio

Subbacultcha Belgium will put together a musical program that mingles with the ideas of Petra Heck’s exhibition, Conversing Motherboards, focusing on the boundaries between humanity and the surrounding reality. The exhibition will be on show until 01h.
Entrance fee: 10 euro.

After that, you’re invited to close the Antwerp Art Weekend, together with its participants, for an after hours drink at Beni Bischof’s art cafe, located in the Museum Cafe of FOMU
