PLANT.MOV is the result of an intensive working period at AAIR from April until July 2019. A post-human landscape serves as the backdrop of a new world in which vegetative bodies and technology dominate. The strange story, depicted in super8 images, tackles a wide range of topics from artificial intelligence to contemplation and issues related to human activity and anthropocentrism. Art critic Pieter Van Bogaert closely followed Laraki's work process and developed a parallel critical reading of the work. Prior to the premiere of the film, Lina and Pieter will publicly discuss the process, the topics and the issues in an informal setting at AAIR. The film will premiere during the evening at Het Bos, in collaboration with Visite film festival.
