A Sound Healing Concert by Surya Nada, in collaboration with Stef Van Looveren

During this Sound Healing, sound is central as a physical and sensory experience. The vibrations of instruments and voice work on the body and can touch mental, emotional, and physical layers. The concert can be experienced as a holistic “medicine”: through harmonic resonance, space is created to slow down, release tension, and bring attention inward.

The concert is experienced lying down, with eyes closed, so attention can fully turn inward. The soundscape includes, among others, cosmic tones, overtones, flutes, singing bowls, shamanic drum, and voice. The experience invites an inner journey through different layers of the self.

The session connects to Stef Van Looveren’s exhibition COSMIC BODY – First Incision, in which the body, transformation, and ritual processes are central. Just as in the installation—where sound functions as a structural element—sound becomes a medium for introspection and change here as well.
