A sobering awareness of displacement and alienation forms the basis of his oeuvre. His interest in human values and humanity is strongly reflected in his work. The existential questions and psychological issues associated with this form the core content of his artistic production. The tranquil characters in his work are based on real people who have been rendered anonymous by partially abstracting them in a timeless environment. They are placed in situations where they create an opening in reality, thereby breaking through the impossibility of providing an answer.
