These group of avant-garde artists founded "Art Abstrait” in 1952.
After 1945, Belgium experienced the emergence of a new generation of artists who continued to develop the language and boundaries of abstract art. Both geometric forms and the more lyrical, poetic or expressionist abstraction were further explored by them. Some stayed true to their style, others kept searching for new forms of expression. This evolution eventually led to minimalism, where form and color were reduced to their absolute minimum.
