BLADE is a group exhibition bringing together 44 visual artists around one charged and enduring object: the sword.

For this exhibition, each artist was invited to bring a sword into the gallery. The result is a collection of distinct responses to an object that carries both historical weight and symbolic excess: elegant, violent, ceremonial, fictional, absurd, sacred, ornamental, animated or alive in spirit.

The exhibition opens on Thursday, July 2nd at 18:00 at DMW Gallery, Koolstraat 15, 2140 Borgerhout.
