From 24 November 2024, Philip Van Isacker will exhibit for the first time at the Annie Gentils Gallery. Under the title ‘Double Head/The Whole and the Parts’, new works will be shown: sculptures, drawings and etchings.
When does a work of art reach completion? Is the answer to that question eluded by the fragility of materials and working methods? How do the works relate to each other: sculpture and drawing, the drawing and the etching, the isolated work and the group? This is what the Double Head looks at in doubt.
