Experience an unforgettable Ensor Night at MoMu, FOMU, KMSKA and Museum Plantin-Moretus. In MoMu, the Afrocentric curatorial collective Som·m·e Of Us invites several Black (queer) artists for an inspiring evening. The programme includes a screening-performance and Belgian film premiere of fashion film YARDIE: ReDEFINED, next to DJ sets and live performances by Missy Da Kunt, SHADEDBYNATURE, Yav, LEGOLANE, and Jazz Sanusi.
By showcasing the creativity of Black artists and the way in which they question the western societal norms of gender and sexuality, the curatorial collective aims to engage in an artistic conversation with British-Belgian artist James Ensor's work. This initiative seeks to challenge gender norms and celebrate the intersectionality of Black and Afrodescendant identities.
The event will also highlight the craft of make-up and hair by featuring Black Belgian make-up artists and hair architects Axelle Husikama, Jela Jahina, and Hady-Salomé Dahan.
With 1 ticket, you can visit all participating museums during Ensor Night: MoMu, FOMU, KMSKA and Museum Plantin-Moretus.
