EXHIBITIONS

Lee Miller in Print
Model, war correspondent, photographer, and surrealist: Lee Miller (1907-1977) is all of these. As one of the few well-known female photographers from the first half of the 20th century, she made a significant contribution to photography.

No Longer Not Yet. Katja Mater & the FOMU Collection
Invited by FOMU, visual artist Katja Mater (NL° 1979) explores the museum collection and makes a special selection around the theme of ‘time’. You will see objects dating from before the invention of photography to the present day.

Mashid Mohadjerin — Spiraling Outward
Iranian-Belgian artist Mashid Mohadjerin (°1976, Tehran) takes you into the intimacy of her family circle. She weaves personal family stories with the broader collective history of Iran. Her photographic series, video installations, collages, and texts offer a fresh perspective on universal themes such as migration, cultural transformation, and resistance.

Chrystel Mukeba — I’ve Never Seen My Father Cry
In late 2024, Chrystel Mukeba (°1983) and her father André visited Kinshasa. This was an important journey for both of them: she had never been to the Democratic Republic of Congo, and he had not returned for 46 years.
