The name of the group exhibition refers to a new community of artists of color. By collectively sharing their personal stories, which are inspired by own their cultural background, the artists help shape the foundation of the community's new identity. The show traces
kinship and connections between cultures, individuals and artistic practices. It reads as an invitation for the public to engage in the works and ultimately embrace this newly-shaped type of collectiveness.

FREETOWN is a collaboration between The Constant Now and Art_United. It debuted during the Fire is Gold music festival in September 2022, and is part of POC POC, The Constant Now's coaching program that connects young artists of color with art professionals.
