During its biannual film festival, De Imagerie shows unique films, from both promising as of more established names from the Belgian documentary, political and experimental film landscape. This edition we will go from visual fiction to tactile installations and from live animation to sensory cinema.
During Visite Hana Miletić & Globe Aroma will present their installation ‘txt, Is Not Written Plain, draft 4’ (2017):
The audio and textile installation is a result of an extensive collaboration between a group of women of the Brussels open art house Globe Aroma and artist Hana Miletić. The works consists of handmade felts and written poetry, recited by the participants. Wool felting is one of the oldest handmade forms of textile work. It doesn't require any other instrument than your hands. The poetic texts are free associations of words inspired by the process of felting and the plasticity of (the) language itself. There is a micropolitcal dimension to this diversity of hands and voices, which poetically reflects the technique of felting.
