What happens when an artwork no longer ends at its own edges?

Bringing together works by Guy Mees and Piero Manzoni, this exhibition explores how both artists shifted attention away from representation and towards space, context and perception. Centred around Mees’ Lost Space works and Manzoni’s 8 Accertamenti portfolio, the exhibition reveals two distinct but closely related approaches to expanding the possibilities of art. More than sixty years later, the questions they raised about meaning, value and experience remain remarkably relevant.
