On Sunday 25 January 2026, M HKA welcomes artists Carla Arocha and Stéphane Schraenen for a panel discussion marking the opening of the collection presentation Carla Arocha & Stéphane Schraenen — 20 Years and More: Works from the Collection.
The presentation brings together works by Arocha and Schraenen, including a new large-scale installation, and offers an in-depth perspective on their long-term collaboration.
During the panel discussion, Arocha and Schraenen reflect on their shared practice and the development of their oeuvre over more than two decades. The conversation situates their work within a broader context, with particular attention to the role of the museum and the collection.
The panel is moderated by Jan De Vree, art historian and Head of Museum Practice at M HKA, with Carla Arocha and Stéphane Schraenen, Philippe Pirotte (curator) and Marc Donnadieu (visual artist).
