de boer (Antwerp) is pleased to present Of Withered Apples, the debut European solo exhibition of New York-based artist Kirsten Deirup. Taking its title from a fantasy story by Philip K. Dick, the exhibition blends the surreal with the familiar to explore humanity’s evolving relationship with technology and obsolescence. Deirup’s work evokes the traditions of Flemish vanitas painting, reimagining the impermanence of life through the lens of a rapidly evolving, post-human world.
