Nicolás Lamas

Lecture: Drifting Sediments of Data

Lecture by artist Nicolás Lamas (Peru, 1980; lives and works in Brussels) on his artistic practice. His work explores the flows and exchanges of information that circulate between objects, images, and forms of knowledge within complex systems, questioning boundaries between organic and artificial, individual and collective, human and non-human. Through immersive, space-filling assemblages, he stages encounters between bodies and matter, arranging technological artifacts, everyday objects, and organic and inorganic remnants that evoke speculative archaeological sites, challenging our understanding of material entanglement and revealing time as a layered, dynamic field.
