Ciro Duclos b. 1991 (lives and works in Amsterdam) is a Dutch artist with a fascination for insignificant materials, everyday objects and the experience of space. He graduated from the Royal Academy for Visual Arts in The Hague in 2015, after which he immediately started producing his own work. Duclos' love for materials that "don't want" such as concrete, glass and marble greatly influences his final output. Material research is therefore always the foundation of Duclos' practice.
He influences the perception of time and space through reflections, shifts in perspective and framing. His work asks the question; 'What do you perceive and where is the boundary between reality and imagination?'
