Oceanic Gardens Afternoon: Fruit, Tea and ‘how to be vulnerable’
Be welcome on Saturday 18th October from 14-18h!
Six tapestries from late medieval times, woven reflections which hold the secrets of our sensate powers serve as analog containers of inevitable gestures and endless efforts for the exhibition. They suggest a space of slowness where both, great female lovers and chefs almost move rhythmically to the sound a small fox would make. The tapestries’ backdrops depict certain plants that will serve as ingredients for the recipe for ‘the Lady and the Unicorn’ – a fruit salad. With this fruit salad and some tea the artist invites you to spend time in the exhibition of ‘Oceanic Gardens’, while she also prepares the meditation 'six: be vulnerable' from Alexis Pauline Gumbs’ wonderful book ‘Undrowned – Black Feminist Lessons from Marine Mammals’ for you to read in the garden, the exhibition space or wherever you want.
