Callewaert Vanlangendonck releases a new book about the painter Serge Vandercam (1924-2005), 'Nuclear Times (1953-1963)'. This publication, with a text by historian David Vermeiren, explores Vandercam's most international period. His radical Cobra photography is only a starting point, while the main focus is on his informal work, until the early sixties. In this period Vandercam exhibited at home and abroad alongside artists such as Cy Twombly and Piero Manzoni and was involved in the European Informal avant-garde interfering with "Phases", "Arte Nucleare" and many other art movements.
