The Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp is prepping for the biggest fashion happening of the year! On Friday 6 and Saturday 7 June 2025, the Antwerp Fashion Department will be in the spotlight with its end-of-year défilé. Visitors and professionals from home and abroad gather at the Waagnatie for the SHOW of Antwerp's fashion students. Fashion lovers can also pass by the Academy on Saturday 7 June to admire the fashion masters' designs up close during their EXPO.
The Fashion Department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp - AP Hogeschool, is proud to show the designs of its fashion students to the public.
More than 120 ambitious young fashion makers from across the world will bring their designs to life on the SHOW catwalk. From the famous skirts of the first-year students, over the widely trumpeted historical costumes and world costumes to the final Masterpieces: the Antwerp Fashion Department resolutely chooses each time to give all students a platform.
At the EXPO, 14 masters students will present their collections in a monumental jury installation. These installations can only be admired on Saturday 7 June on a first come first served principle. A unique opportunity to admire the designs up close before seeing them flash by on the catwalk!
Artistic director Brandon Wen: “The state of fashion right now? We’re all a bit unsure. The state of Antwerp right now? Inspiring.
When it comes to the fashion industry at this moment there is a lot of uncertainty. Obviously, this goes hand in hand with the state of the world right now. But amidst this, I have hope! In the Antwerp Fashion Department, there is a group of hungry, young designers who question the world, who are bold and make me excited to come to this department every week to give class and be a part of what they envision for this world. I am as inspired by the people in this space as much now as Director as when I was a student here. It is not something to be missed, in the name of beauty but also in the name of hope.”
