When you look through a window, you always see two worlds mixed together. An interaction occurs between what is behind the window and the reflection on the glass. Together they form an image and depending on where the viewer focuses, one scene stands out more than the other. In a painting these two worlds flow together and come to lie in the same plane, creating a new (composition)? arises.
