In the summer of 2025, Out of Sight welcomed back artist Davide Tidoni and the artist duo Boris de Klerk & Finn Borath. Both developed site-specific installations responding to the visual, acoustic, and historical context of the building.

Davide Tidoni investigated the first floor of the building with his site-specific installation "Towards, At, Through", a space formerly used for storing old jukeboxes and later, car parts. The prepositions in the title refer to movements and positions of the body in relation to space. By leaving the room relatively empty, traces of renovations and alterations dating back to before World War II become apparent. Nooks and crannies, holes in the floor, and cracks in the walls take center stage. By integrating devices to record, play back, or amplify sound, Tidoni proposes positions from which to listen. Through subtle interventions and uncertainty about the origin of sounds, the visitor is invited to explore the relationship between the inside and outside of the space—and how they mutually define each other.

Finn Borath & Boris de Klerk, with their new work "roomtone", focus our attention on the original TL-lights that once illuminated the former mechanic's workshop on the ground floor. By manipulating the voltage supplied to the fluorescent tubes, both the visual and auditory space are transformed. Clicks and buzzes, at first seemingly signs of a malfunctioning electrical installation, are distributed throughout the space as an electro-acoustic composition. Lights once intended to create a clear and legible environment now produce a new, dynamic architecture of light. Trading in "spectacle" for "spectre," they compose at a very low volume, attempting to haunt the space with the sound of its own lighting, fading in and out of the viewer’s consciousness.

Both installations, through their seeming emptiness, focus on what we take for granted, continually finding ways to present us with space itself. Vacant spaces, devoid of expectations, but ready for an unknown potential to be realised.
