Shoobil Gallery, located in the vibrant art district of Antwerp South, has spent the past nine years dedicated to supporting artists with a distinctive personal vision and strong conceptual foundations. After six years at Museumstraat 4, we moved to our beautiful new space at Waalsekaai 21/22.
Our mission is to promote artists deeply engaged with ideas and concepts, giving particular attention to emerging talents who may not yet have received the recognition they deserve. We aim to offer these artists opportunities to be seen by critics, collectors, institutions, and galleries that typically focus on more established names. Our hands-on approach to exhibition-building is central to our gallery’s evolving identity, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
This ethos reflects our commitment to meaningful artistic exploration and experimentation, creating a platform for artists who challenge conventions and present fresh perspectives. Shoobil Gallery actively seeks out and nurtures talent that aligns with our passion for intellectually driven and conceptually rich work.
Shoobil gallery is a non-profit organization and was founded on May 2015 by Serena Baplu, Tosca Baplu & Jef Gysen.
