Open Wednesday - Saturday from 2-6pm.
After running the experimental art space Montevideo in the Antwerp harbour (1980-1984) with a renowned international programme, (Mario Merz, Henk Visch, Niek Kemps, Luc Deleu), the Annie Gentils Gallery opened its doors in the centre of Antwerp in 1985.
The gallery presents contemporary multimedia and conceptual work, as well as painting and sculpture. The gallery has 2 floors; this makes it possible to organise two concurrent exhibitions or to make an important solo exhibition or group exhibition.
We organize 7 to 8 main exhibitions each year. The gallery is well known for his consistent line of quality and critical engagement. Publications and editions have supported the activities of the gallery from the early years until today.
