We organise a warm talk about Andrew Webb and his remarkable oeuvre by artists and good friends
RIA PACQUEE, GUY VAN BOSSCHE and MARC ROSSIGNOL, who used to know Andrew Webb and his life companion Jon Thompson (1932 - +2016). Andrew Webb was born in Warwickshire, England in the 1960's. He received a Bachelor of Arts Honors in Fine Art (BA Hons) from Goldsmith's College, University of London in the 1980's. After living briefly in Spain, Webb relocated to Belgium, first to Antwerp and later Brussels. Since 2008 he lived and worked in Sandwich until March 2019 when he suddenly passed away.
The Annie Gentils Gallery is responsible for the artistic legacy of Andrew Webb and we invite you with pleasure to unravel Andrew's magnificent oeuvre as a walk through (Western) art history with references to Marcel Duchamp, Rimbaud, Magritte, Marcel Broothaers, Mallarmé, Alfred Jarry, James Lee Byars etc.
