Antwerp Art Weekend at the Academy

— Tomorrow’s Language, Louwrien Wijers, 2017-2020 —
The first exhibition project in the context of the Expanding Academy program, curated by Nico Dockx and Judith Wielander, presents 40 handwritten panels of Louwrien Wijers as a reflection on her mental sculpture 'Art meets Science and Spirituality in a Changing Economy'.

— Lintfabriek Archives 1982-2007 —
The Lintfabriek was a hotspot for alternative youth culture in the outskirts of Antwerp, an international crossroad for alternative music and a breeding point of talent in the 1980s and 1990s. Several enthusiasts committed themselves to organizing the archive presented here.

This solo presentation thinks of the Temple as a testing field. It marks the first step in Berit Schneidereit´s research project which explores the fragment as a defining characteristic of photography and a form of visual language in itself.
