Coppejans Gallery celebrates its third anniversary during the Antwerp Art Weekend.

The gallery was founded in 2020 and since then has organised exhibitions, performances and other projects that each time arise from the fascinating connections between science, philosophy and art. Group exhibitions start from a research question, solo exhibitions show the research practice of the represented artists. Stijn Coppejans also initiates research projects with his gallery, such as the project on 100 years Beuys two years ago.

The title of this group exhibition speaks for itself: Art is Research. With a series of selected works by three artists, the gallery shows the essence of its argument: research is a determining condition for art.
