Bow A head

Exhibition curated by Tamara Beheydt & Guy Van Bossche
The exhibition will be on view also at TARMAC Meerhout (opening 04/05/2024 until 26/05/2024)

Group exhibitions are meetings, places of gathering, exchange and community.
Everything begins with a conversation. In a conversation between two curators, very different artists and practices emerge, but with in common an aversion to trends, a subversive voice, a certain elegance, a modest but tenacious virtuosity.
They offer a counterpoint to the currents that are ruling the market. They show that what matters often gets under the skin,
wrings, bends, dances or struggles.
The exhibition is an homage to the humble, but also proud position of the artist.
Tarmac Art Collective and Annie Gentils Gallery both have a long history and feel the need to be something more than themselves. Thus was born this cross-pollination: a meeting between two spaces taking a leap and throwing themselves into an exchange of mutual trust, with each other, with a group of artists, with different audiences.
