"Karl Mechnig (°1959) has an excellent profession as a painter and as a draftsman and also demonstrates a rich imagination and the gift of building a fascinating and intriguing structure based on multiple considerations in which connections are suggested, waves of sensibility become signs, meanings appear that the viewer must grasp with attention before they disappear again. Each work is a playful and penetrating riddle that requires a personal interpretation, that offers each individual viewer a captivating answer.
