Aay Liparoto

Fictional Ceramics for Failed Relationships

Aay Liparoto presents an exhibition of ceramics and drawings in the Refectory, MORPHO's project space overlooking the monastery garden.

Drawing from classical forms, Liparoto’s ceramics become performative storytelling objects, vessels to contain potential for love without violence but also to acknowledge our own failings.

Aay Liparoto (1987, New Jersey, USA) was an artist in residence at MORPHO from September 2021 to January 2022. Their cinematic virtual reality installation Small Acts of Violence will premiere at Contour Biennale, Mechelen and ARGOS, Brussels in 2023.
