With February ahead, we are very excited to share its additions to the vibrant program of art in Antwerp. Find out what the galleries, museums and art spaces in Antwerp have prepared for the weeks to come in this newsletter.

We hopen dat je tot nu toe een geweldige start van het nieuwe jaar hebt gehad, vol positieve energie, inspiratie en kunst. Met februari in het vooruitzicht, zijn we erg verheugd om de toevoegingen aan het levendige kunstprogramma in Antwerpen te delen. Ontdek in deze nieuwsbrief wat de galerijen, musea en kunstruimten in Antwerpen de komende weken hebben voorbereid.

50 Years of Frans Masereel Centrum

In 2022, the Frans Masereel Center will celebrate its 50th anniversary!

Since 1972, the center has grown into an internationally renowned residence spot with leading expertise in printed matter. They will celebrate all year round with the pilot edition of Hibernus, guest artist Vaast Colson, a summer exhibition by Slavs & Tatars, a new publication by Hannah Black, and last but not least: a big party in the autumn during which an exhaustive reference book about their history will be presented.

In 2022 viert het Frans Masereel Centrum haar 50ste verjaardag!

Sinds 1972 groeide het centrum uit tot een internationaal geroemde residentieplek met vooraanstaande expertise in printed matter. Vieren doen ze het jaar rond met o.a. de piloot-editie van Hibernus, gastkunstenaar Vaast Colson, een zomertentoonstelling van Slavs & Tatars, een nieuwe publicatie van Hannah Black en niet te vergeten: een groot feest in het najaar waarbij ook een uitvoerig naslagwerk over hun geschiedenis gepresenteerd zal worden.

40 Years of Zeno X Gallery

This year, Zeno X Gallery celebrates too! Throughout 2022, Zeno X Gallery presents several exhibitions that bring together historical and new works, on the occasion of their 40 year existence. On February 5, the first exhibition opens at Zeno X Gallery Antwerp South with work by the artists that joined the gallery in the eighties: Raoul De Keyser, John Körmeling, Patrick Van Caeckenbergh and Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven. Save the date!

Dit jaar viert Zeno X Gallery ook feest! Gedurende 2022 presenteert Zeno X Gallery verschillende tentoonstellingen die historische en nieuwe werken samenbrengen, ter gelegenheid van hun 40-jarig bestaan. Op 5 februari opent in Zeno X Gallery Antwerpen Zuid de eerste tentoonstelling met werk van de kunstenaars die zich in de jaren 80 bij de galerie voegden: Raoul De Keyser, John Körmeling, Patrick Van Caeckenbergh and Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven. MORPHO: New Comfort Zones

MORPHO is now welcoming applications in the framework of New Comfort Zones, a programme that invites artists and other guests in residence to examine the dynamics and conventions of our personal and institutional relationships, and the parallels and overlaps between them. Inspired by their own recent transformation, New Comfort Zones will unfold in dialogue with each resident’s independent artistic vision, supporting their work and voice while exploring how can we learn with others. The application deadline is March 22, 2022.

MORPHO verwelkomt nu aanvragen in het kader van New Comfort Zones, een programma dat kunstenaars en andere gasten in residentie uitnodigt om de dynamiek en conventies van onze persoonlijke en institutionele relaties, en de parallellen en overlappingen daartussen, te onderzoeken. Geïnspireerd door hun eigen recente transformatie, zullen nieuwe comfortzones zich ontvouwen in dialoog met de onafhankelijke artistieke visie van elke resident, hun werk en stem ondersteunen en onderzoeken hoe we met anderen kunnen leren. De deadline om je aan te melden is 22 maart 2022.
